use the dark wood for the outline of the house with a one block overhang with a oak half slab that gradually climes up 1 block at a time to the point of the roof.

Thanks Cypher, it took so long to build already, so I might just take Gryph's advice and call myself commandant! Haha I'll probably change it up in the future!

Woah Mil, that's amazing! Is that in FTB because I notice the advanced solar panels on the 3rd picture. Also, what texture pack is that?

Eh most of the mods I use are in FTB, but no I don't specifically use that modpack. I play version 1.6.4. I believe the texturepack I'm using is Faithful 64x. If you mean the water reflections, shadows and other effects, that is the glsl shaders mod. The mod i recommend most is IC2, but getting the right version to work can be a bit tricky. I'll post a pic of my mod folder.
