Parrot AR 2.0 Drone case

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

I have been looking for a drone case and found most of the one's for sale on eBay were too expensive ($100+ AUD). If you're looking for a case for your drone then I recommend the Craftright 515 x 435 x 225mm Large Safe Case (in Australia you can get it for $72 at Bunnings). Here's a couple of pics of the case and cut out for my drone. I have also attached a link for those who live in Oz.

Very nice. We have a few people who own quadcopters, I'll have to make sure they see this.

AOYM nice drone mate and it looks like a racing drone (with a camera mod). Is it heavy?

My Parrot AR 2.0 is good fun to fly. The kids love it when I take it out to the park. I got an after market LiPo for $38 AUD ( I'll post the eBay link for it for the Oz members).

Standard battery is a 1000 mah (lasts around 10 minutes) and the after market battery is 2000 mah (lasts around 20 minutes).

The after market LiPo charges on the standard Parrot AR 2.0 charger. The Parrot 1500 mah LiPo is retails four around $79 AUD so the after market battery is a bargain.

Yeah it is a racing drone. It weighs about 645g. On this I use lipos that are 1300-1500mah with a very high discharge rating. Also I would be very careful with those batteries you have and the one you linked. They don't have a balance port which means that they can be prone to fire. You might want to keep them in a fire resistant area where they can do no harm, for the sake of your family. Lipo fires aren't put out easily.
If you see it start to puff throw it away. If you see here this battery has more than one connector on it. https://www.google.com/search?q=parrot+battery+puff&tbm=isch&imgil=BunaT-IV5obZNM%253A%253B6WlAy3sEE_fAUM%253Bhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.dx.com%25252Fp%25252F11-1v-2500mah-20c-li-polymer-battery-for-parrot-ar-drone-2-0-black-red-400018&source=iu&pf=m&fir=BunaT-IV5obZNM%253A%252C6WlAy3sEE_fAUM%252C_&usg=__4ZVtiFokWlXni2SO4phsgUR-_uw%3D&biw=1920&bih=950&ved=0ahUKEwjf8Ma6ic_TAhXoqFQKHSv3C0oQyjcIRw&ei=xVwHWZ_6EujR0gKr7q_QBA#tbm=isch&q=parrot+battery+&imgrc=DjiJBL3qOn8BqM:
That connector is important.

Thanks Money.

The new Parrot Drone 2.0 has a new charger. The after market battery I got is compatible with the new 2.0 charger. I charge all my batteries in the bathroom as it's tiles and not much can catch alight.
