Says server is running on 1.6 im on 1.7?

Ay so first off its great to be back here. Smells like home. IDK if you guys remember me or nah but i went as Prodigy, was NJ for a time, and i think i was active for 3 years on? before i stopped playing. Trying to get back into the netjam server but i cant join. And another thing, anyone know why i keep crashing when i try to adjust the resolution? im stuck on the shitty stock settings. I used to play on MAC but now im on PC. Version 1.8.13620 on the bottom right

Hey Prodigy. Do you have the game installed through Steam?

Activision pushed an "update" to cod4 through steam awhile back that essentially broke the game. You have to revert the update.
